Stress is what you experience when you are faced
with challenges that are slightly more than you
can handle. A little bit of stress in life is
normal and even healthy in the sense it provides
us the motivation to finish work on time, reach
to solutions, work hard. However, when stress
becomes too prolonged and if levels of stress
are high then it can affect your health in addition
to affecting your well being, performance and
relationships.
Under stress, your body reacts similar to when
are facing danger. When stress is more and regular
in your life, it begins to have bad effects. Stress
can give you headaches, back pain, sleep disorders
etc. Stress for a prolonged period can weaken
you immune system
and leaves your body not enough equipped to fight
diseases. Mood swings, tension, depression
are further manifestations of stress. Increased
level of stress can have negative psychological
effects that make it more and more difficult to
treat the real problems that are causing stress.
