The whole process of cleaning the baby consists
of cleaning the teeth, face, hair and nails of
baby. Cleaning the baby properly keeps them away
from any sort of disease and also ensures that
they are feeling well. Babies are very sensitive
and hence you are supposed to handle them very
softly during cleaning process. Cleaning the baby
is not an easy task as it requires a lot of care,

Understanding
the needs of your baby
When you are cleaning the baby
then first clean her gum with a towel. For this
take a wet towel and wrap it around your finger
and then take your laying in your lap. Now open
her mouth and rub your finger softly over her
gum. Cleaning the baby's gums daily help your
baby to get used to the sensation and thus making
it easier to use tooth brush without any problem.
Before you baby gets her first baby tooth, try
to wipe your baby’s gum regularly like this.
Sometimes if mother has any teeth problem like
cavities then it may pass to baby also. If you
are cleaning the baby’s gum regularly then

When your baby gets a few weeks
old then you should make the routine for daily
bath. However, during bath you should ensure that
bathing place is clean and warm. Before cleaning
the baby, feed your baby well so that baby should
not cry later. Keep all things ready at hand required
for cleaning the baby. Immediately after baths
wrap your baby in a cotton towel and wipe her
eyes, face, and neck and ear properly. Even if
you are not giving your baby bath daily then for
cleaning the baby you can use sponge. You are
not required to wash your baby’s hair daily
rather use a damp flannel cloth to remove dirt.
Cleaning the baby requires good care and precaution
on the part of mother.
In addition to cleaning the baby,
make sure that your babies, clothes, bottles and
other products remain sanitized and germ free.
